Ron Paul video on McCain’s economic knowledge
Posted by Neocon in 2008 Race, Conservatism, Economy, Nutter ButtersPicked this up over at Hot Air and it’s just too good to dissect or not pass on.
Remember that McCain had just said during the debate that he did ‘get’ economics, so Paul asks him a convoluted question. Here we go, whee!
(P.S.: Don’t vote for Ron Paul, either)
Update: Some people are wondering whether or not Ron Paul’s question was based on something that was actually important or not. The answer is no. The video just trumps up McCain’s seemingly slow answer. Since I’m not fond of the idea of McCain as our nominee, it seemed like a nice lazy half-entertaining jab at him. However, if you’re wondering what actually was being asked here, Half Sigma has a quick post on it. (If your gut reaction to anything out of Ron Paul’s mouth was “conspiracy”, then you’re catching on)
9:52 PM: Ron Paul asks McCain about the “working group on financial markets.” (This group is believed, by goldbug conspiracy theorists [who call it the "plunge protection team"], to be engaged in evil conspiracy stuff, probably having something to do with the Jews.) McCain looks like he has no idea what Ron Paul is getting at, but he talks about his experience in the Senate working with financial issues.
Also, you’ll enjoy the “constructive criticism” that the Roniacs have left in Half Sigma’s comments. Just more proof that Paul’s supporters are rational and polite! I guess they’re still pretty upset over those racist newsletters Ron Paul sent out…
