McCain Party

American Thinker has an article today breaking down McCain’s American Conservative Union record, give it a look.

For [2006] in particular, McCain scored only 65, putting him in 47th place for that year. Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Chuck Hagel (R-NE), for example, scored 64 and 75, respectively, in 2006.

Generally, McCain has voted less conservatively in more recent years. His average for 1990-97 was 88, but was only 74 for 1998-2006.

If you wanted some more to back this up, McCain admitted he’d sign that amnesty bill into law if it came to his desk as President. So you learned something, did you? It doesn’t show…

Yesterday, Tim Russert asked John McCain:

“If the Senate passed your bill, S.1433, the McCain/Kennedy immigration bill, would you as president sign it?

McCain replied:

Yeah. But look, the lesson is, it isn’t - one, it isn’t going to come. It isn’t going to come.”
