(Via IMAO) You can read the whole completely insane thing here if you have some time to kill, but I’ll give you the gist.

This guy supports Ron Paul. He goes to a Ron Paul event and thinks he sees an evil government agent posing as a bellboy at a hotel where Ron Paul is supposed to speak. He sees that the candidates have equal 13% with ~41% of the Iowa primary vote reporting and decides that since the numbers are so similar, this is obvious evidence of voter fraud perpetrated against beloved leader Ron Paul. Somewhere in this mess, he sees evidence of a “neo con” plot to kill Ron Paul. He starts making a scene to proclaim his voter fraud theory and the hotel asks him to leave. He leaves, goes and complains to some poor RNC jr. staffer.

That’s it, fairly boring, but here is the telling part.

Could it be that because…for one reason or other…the alleged plot to assassinate Dr. Paul on Dec. 2nd in front of the Ft. Des Moines Marriott [presumed, of course, with no hard evidence—only strange coincidences/circumstances] was dwarted; and isn’t it reasonable to assume that the conspirators—the assassination crew that was already on location—would make another attempt the following night at the Downtown Marriot…unless…some guy who claimed to work for an internationally renown, former FBI “honcho” stood up and publicly announced to the Ron Paul crowd that there was a plot afoot to assassinate Dr. Paul? Could they go forward with their plan after this? Why, were Dr. Paul to be assassinated, Ted Gunderson would be surrounded by reporters the next day. Well, who knows anything for sure except God…and He works his “divine intervention” in mysterious ways.

There you go. Here is the motivation behind many of Ron Paul’s supporters, just like any other cult or ‘weird’ fixation group. This guy has now created a delusional reality where his sense of self-importance has just gone through the roof. By causing a scene, he has foiled some massive evil government “neo con” assassination plot and saved the life of savior Ron Paul! Now his life has meaning. The same phenomenon can be found in conspiracy theorists, particularly 9/11 conspiracy theorists– who happen to often support Ron Paul.

It isn’t a real sense of pride or purpose, it’s a misguided compulsion to be more important to the world than the cultist perceives themselves to be, which also explains why they are so willing to disregard fact in the face of their obsession.

It’s sad, really. There are a lot of stories of truthers who have gone bankrupt trying to ‘fight the man’.
