Obama position change on Cuban embargo
Posted by Neocon in 2008 Race, Communism, Democrats, Foreign Policy, Obama(Via Babalu Blog) I was going to tack this onto the Obama/Che post from earlier this week, but I don’t think enough people would dig back through to see it, so I’m giving it its own post. Certainly worthy of one, given the importance of the issue.
In issuing the dismissive quasi-denial that Obama’s campaign did, they failed to really acknowledge that there actually was a Che emblazoned Cuban flag at the office or denounce the communist thug.
“Senator Obama has made it clear that we will maintain the embargo as a way to leverage meaningful democratic change in Cuba. The office featured in this video is funded by volunteers of the Barack Obama Campaign and is not an official headquarters for his campaign.”
When I saw that, I knew something wasn’t right. Obama hasn’t said much in the way of policy, but as sure as he’s said that he wants to hold a magical summit to convince all those in the world who wish us ill that we can all get along, he said that he wanted to lift the Cuban embargo. Babalu Blog dug the video proof up.
Isn’t that nice?
Also, check out Obama’s Patriot Corporation plan. I thought we weren’t supposed to define what/who was patriotic?
