Ring-a-ding-ding, it’s President Hillary to the rescue
Posted by Neocon in 2008 Race, Hillary, Terrorism(via Gateway Pundit) So we’ve got Hillary’s equivalent of the infamous (but effective) Daisy commercial that LBJ used against Barry Goldwater in 1964. In that ad an innocent young girl picking the petals off a daisy is implied to suffer nuclear holocaust; only a vote for competent LBJ could prevent this disaster.
Hillary’s version is milder but still invokes the ever-exploitable “children” and the concept of national security, imploring you to wonder just which Democrat candidate you want answering the white house phone at 3AM. Certainly not that young upstart from Chicago who has just as much not much experience with leadership and world affairs.
This smacks of desperation. Coming from the Clinton camp it is just another limp slap against the treads of the Obama machine that will most likely be lost in his campaign’s dust with the rest of their race-baiting, religion-questioning distractions. John McCain has a legitimate claim to more foreign policy experience than Obama, despite how much Barack wishes we didn’t go into Iraq, so the McCain team might be able to pull off a “darker” ad campaign like this one without it seeming so laughable. We’ll have to wait until the General to see if John has the chutzpah to run something like this.McCain should just buy the spot from her.

That’s the soccer mom version of “Daisy.” Quite limp.
Little did we know the phone call was from the local pizza joint telling Bill they ran out of anchovies.
