Obama’s Pastor “God Damn America” — Part of Campaign!

(via Hot Air) There is video out there on Rev. Jeremiah Wright saying some blockheaded things, but Obama’s pastor, who is formally part of the Obama campaign, spewed some of the most anti-American tripe that I’ve ever heard only days after 9/11.

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,” he said in a 2003 sermon. “God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda’s attacks because of its own terrorism.

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost,” he told his congregation.

This sort of stuff is so far out there that it should be coming from ANSWER or some kid from an anarchist group, not a religious leader. I never even heard anything close to this from my most liberal college professors. We’re approaching Ward Churchill stupidity here, people.

The ABC News story cites Obama aids as calling this sort of thing “inflammatory rhetoric” but in reality, it is treasonous anti-American bilge. This story needs to get out there, and I hope that the Hillary campaign is desperate to add it to their kitchen sink, because if there was one thing so far that could sink Obama, it’s this IMHO. Let me try to help:

Obama is a Christian, right? Even asking if he is a Muslim is wrong, right? So isn’t this the most legitimate criticism to levy at him? It would negate the Hussein factor as well. This is your Christian church, your values- a church whose message you support with your dollars and by including this pastor on your campaign staff. What does that say about you?

Michelle Malkin adds that it must’ve rubbed off on Michelle Obama as well.
