An Obama quote I saw making the cable news rounds last night shows up in a post by Victor Davis Hanson at the Corner this morning, and I have to comment.

“This is somebody that was preaching three sermons at least a week for 30 years and it got boiled down … into a half-minute sound clip and just played it over and over and over again, partly because it spoke to some of the racial divisions we have in this country.”

Newsflash, Barry, a good chunk of those “boiled down” quotations come from the Pastor’s own ‘Best of’ Video. So even if they were being cherry-picked, it’s his own organization that did the pluckin’. I think they know the context of his sermons better than anyone in choosing what was quotation gold and what wasn’t. You can’t keep pretending that this guy is just some regular old man of the cloth who has a few discrepancies with mainstream Christianity that are being unfairly hyped.

I’ll say it again: Wright’s. ministry. sold. those. racist. radical. statements. as. his. most. impressive. Christian. messages.

If Obama still actually believes what he is saying, then he’s a lot more dangerous as President than any of us think.

Update: Recent polling indicates that Obama is being hurt by Wright.
