Personally I don’t think that any of these Gore scenarios has a prayer of happening, but it would certainly be interesting. We haven’t had as solid or entertaining Democrat pie fight as we might since Silky dropped out to go twiddle his thumbs in his many roomed mansion, at least that’s the case if one is operating under the Three Stooges Doctrine that shows a troika to be the proper number of participants for slop-slinging.

Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue in the party if Eco-Moses dropped in to ruin the party? We know he doesn’t like the Clintons… something to do with Bill blowing his chances at the presidency, or maybe it was being blown? Hard to remember since 2000 was so long ago. We also know that Al has a severe ego complex that has to be constantly nurtured, and he can’t be enjoying all the attention that Obama has sapped away from him (did his Nobel prize even stay in the press for a full week?). So does he have the guts to play savior? I doubt it. There’s just too much Apple, Inc. money crunching around in his environmentally friendly pants for him to give it up, even if it means a chance at the top spot that he was so cruelly denied.

I do agree that the ‘dream ticket’ is seeming less and less like a possibility with each passing day. Between Obama’s pastor and Hillary’s kitchen sink sniping, I just don’t see it all coming up roses in August.

Hot Air links to some polling to back up the notion that Hillary and Barack are getting bogged down in the mud.

A new Wall Street Journal poll shows that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have both taken some damage from the tough campaigning in the Democratic primaries, but that the general election contest for either candidate would still be too close to call. Hillary has lost some strength in her base of working-class whites, however, and that could play havoc with her hopes to ride into Denver with momentum from a sweep of the remaining primaries.

Keep it up, you two. All the way to the convention. Never give up, never surrender!
