John Hawkins Right Wing News Interview

John Hawkins over at Right Wing News links to an interview he did with the Pakistani Spectator. It’s a must read. A running topic on this blog, despite how much of a minnow as it may be in the larger blogosphere fishtank, has been the need for perseverance with both blogging and writing. John Hawkins has been the most open blogger I’ve run across in his constant willingness to discuss just what it takes to run a successful blog. His tips and insight certainly warrant a glance, even on a Monday morning.

Do you feel that you continue to grow in your writing the longer you write? Why is that important to you?

Writing is just like everything else; the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Practice makes perfect.

I’m wondering what some of your memorable experiences are with blogging?

The biggest one was driving down the road and hearing Rush Limbaugh, the biggest name in conservatism and the man who helped turn me to the Right, mention something I had written on Right Wing News on his show. I think that was the biggest honor I’ve ever had in the business.

Isn’t that Rush mention what every conservative is after? El Rushbo remains the shining beacon in the night that all conservative commentators turn to, whether they will admit it or not, and when you’ve been mentioned there… you’ve truly made it.

Check out the rest of the interview by passing through Right Wing News! You won’t regret it.
