More Fitna, Middle East News, and Arab Polling (Updated: Back up!)
Posted by: Neocon in Media Bias, Religion, Terrorism, tags: controversy, death threats, fitna, google, hot air, jawa report, jihad, kidnapped soldier, muhammad cartoons, palestinian children, poll, propaganda, violenceLiveleak took their copy down over death threats (who didn’t see that one coming?) but that doesn’t end the controversy. You can still find the video here or by googling it.
Robert Spencer has some more analysis of the movie here and here. Check them out.
And in related news, Gateway uses those fancy graphs to illustrate a new poll that finds 55% of Arabs believe offensive words justify violence. Joy and rapture.
It looks like we have a lot of work to do with the ‘hearts and minds’ bit. Still, I suppose that it’s good news that only 60% thought that “western interference in a Muslim country” was worthy of violent response. I would have pegged that question, however vague in its wording, as gathering a much higher endorsement of violence.
Update: Since there are a few loosely related stories popping up today, I’ll toss them in here instead of tagging them up on the ‘Daily Quick Hits’ so that linked readers will find them easier. (Remember that the Quick Hits only appear on the front page)
Right Truth links to the sad ending of a kidnapped soldier’s story.
Counterterrorism Blog explores more CAIR propaganda.
The Jawa Report has a catchy tune with a serious message.
Hot Air shows you what Palestinian kids are learning from the boob tube this week.
Update 11:30AM: I knew this story would keep rolling.
(via Instapundit) Liveleak brings back Fitna.
Hot Air links to reaction video (hint: kill, kill, kill).

What annoys me most about this is that were we dealing with any other group making death-threats against fair (if inflammatory) speech, the rest of the media would immediately all post the “offensive” material in solidarity with those who are threatened, to demonstrate that such threats will simply not work.
Amen to that.
The Jawa Report has more Geert hatred.
