The rumors started over at the ever informative Stratfor, but now CBS is picking it up as well. Hot Air has dedicated a full post to it now and I’m just waiting for the cable news cycle to pick it up in earnest. I really couldn’t pretend to have any clue whether old number two is cracking rocks in the underworld yet or not, I don’t have any inside sources, but one can always hope.

On a lighter note, if he is gone, then we’ve managed to shut down one of Al Qaeda’s new fundraising efforts as well.

Lil’ Zawahiri’s fireworks stand won’t be raking in the bucks for Al Qaeda anytime soon if reports are to be believed.
