It was obvious that she understood what she was talking about. She has on previous occasion made statements that were not simply talking points about most of the issues discussed which prove to me that she knows what she is talking about. As far as only rehashing talking points, we must have been watching different debates because she came off as coherent and informed on most of what she said. I never said that I was impressed with her breadth of knowledge on all the issues, I said that she showed me that she had the capacity to be an intelligent executive when properly briefed. There's a big difference there. It's just like I wouldn't expect the President to know everything about every topic or crisis that comes up from day to day. That's what daily briefings are for. We need a good analytical mind-- she showed that.

So don't confuse what I wrote with astounding praise about her in-depth knowledge. I freely admit that she doesn't have the scope that Biden or McCain do. I hope that clears it up some for you.

Also, you tried to comment on the parody page. I don't allow comments there because it isn't really a post but if you'll look back (and I'm aware I haven't been categorizing the recent ones like I should be) then you'll find plenty of right-wing characters being lampooned. Particularly in regards to American policy on Iran. It isn't about being neutral. I'm not neutral. I have a well defined point of view. It's about what I believe is right and wrong. Naturally given the website's nature, you'll find more left-wing ideas being mocked than those on my side. Thanks for the visit!

She did a fantastic job rehearsing all those phrases. She said it herself, that she might not answer the questions but 'talk straight to the American people'. First, if its rehearsed and not her own words its not straight, neither necessarily her own thoughts. Second, she barely answered any questions but just said her rehearsed phrases over and over again - I am the new face, I am gonna change things.. blabla. I mean she can't even say what she is going to change as she said herself when asked what promise she might not be able to keep because of the 700bn bailout - answer: 'I haven't made any promises yet' - so all her words are just empty.

Maybe your expectations were really low and therefore she did an excellent job but she didn't do a good job considering she could be the next VP .
