Harry Reid has inadvertently explained the mystery of the Democrat’s stance on illegal immigration. In response to a reporter’s question about the difficulties for Americans to find work because of the lower costs associated with using “undocumented workers”, Reid quipped:
“I think that any information you have in that regard is absolutely without foundation,” responded Reid. “That may be someplace, but it is not here in Nevada.”
So there you have it folks. It isn’t that Democrats are really soft on the border or anticipating the voter windfall they would have by imposing amnesty on the twelve to twenty million illegal immigrants in the United States, it’s just that they don’t really believe the issue exists. They’re just so focused on creating jobs at $250,000 a pop that they can’t see anything else. If you’re having a hard time wrapping your brain around it, try comparing it to the Invisible Gorilla test that’s been revived in the news recently.
Hey, I’m just trying to not be cynical here. Surely Harry Reid wouldn’t lie to his constituents. Surely he wouldn’t think that the good people of Nevada have been lulled into such a stupor by his many years in office that they wouldn’t notice that there, uh, are illegal immigrants in Nevada. No, it must be the blinders. He’s a very focused guy.
Elsewhere in the real world, Michelle Malkin provides some ICE documentation to dispel any other Democrats from playing this game. Granted it’s like playing a shell game with the bottoms of the cups cut out, but you never know when “did we throw the neighbor’s kitchen sink at them yet?” remains the 2010 Democrat election motto.

How can you blame members of the Socialist Workers’ Party [aka Democrats] for sticking up for ILLEGAL ALIENS when El Presidente Jorge Boosh and his cabal of neo-cons – including Karl Rove! – did the same thing?
